Asian Australian Volunteers (AAV) is seeking passionate individuals to assist in our Victorian Community Food Relief Program, aimed at supporting vulnerable community members facing food insecurity. With a focus on providing healthy, culturally appropriate food, this program also helps people connect with broader community services such as financial wellbeing and food literacy.
As a volunteer or short-term staff member, you will:
-Assist with the distribution of food and groceries
-Help maintain a sustainable food model, supporting community-led initiatives
-Engage with individuals and families to ensure they access necessary services and supports
-Contribute to strengthening partnerships and networks to enhance community food access
Requirements:
-Strong commitment to helping disadvantaged communities
-Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
-Flexibility with hours (part-time and short-term positions available)
